About Jennifer Lintner

I love my job where I spend my days formatting assessments and delivering them to the teachers who love (insert eyeroll here) to give them, then collecting and organizing the data. The teachers might not like the assessments but it's a great staff to work with! My nights are spent listening to "Mom! Mom! Mom! Ma! Mom!" coming from my children while I chauffeur them to various activities and attempt to provide them with healthy meals and a decent bedtime. I look forward to sharing excerpts from a life with children, in education, learning about new things and taking chances, and how a village can help you keep it all together...or at least give you moments that feel that way!

Be Prepared: CarGO Kit

If you have been in Janelle’s presence for more than 5 minutes you have heard her utter the phrase, “I have that/those/one in my car.” The girl has everything in her car and it amazes me. It’s like Mary Poppins’s carpet bag. I have told her repeatedly that she should make a list for me […]

Ode to My Label Maker

Jan 17, 2017

The second one was a frivolous purchase because I am a scrapbooker and it did a great elevated white print on black labels. It’s beautiful really. And perfect for so many different types of pages but […]

Yep, Janelle has purchased three elves for her family all because she keeps forgetting where they are hidden after Christmas. We laughed about it thinking it was just her until another friend said she had done the same thing. She was wracking her brain to figure out a solution to this problem. Here are some […]

Where did “Takes a Village Teaching” come from?

Oct 1, 2016

Janelle and I have been working hard to make this vision come together and honestly, it would not be possible without our “Village.” Yes, we are part of each others’ Village and we share some of the people in our Villages but we also have our own people in our own Villages that don’t have […]

  • Engineering has begun!! Today was the introduction but the students had grand plans as they explored materials. Can you see a puppy, an egg boat, a flower, and a dragon? The kids sure can! #engineeringday #exploringmaterials
  • First Engineering Day with a new group of kindergarteners! Let the fun begin!! #powerplays #engineeringday
  • Anyone else’s kids do this? #yeesh
  • Sound advice.
  • Tired of asking your kids to give the person in the bathroom a little privacy? Give them a place to stand while waiting their turn!!
  • Hot day with no clip or pony holder? Smart teachers use what’s on hand! Binder clips are good for more than holding papers!!
