Look for classroom supplies at second hand shops
Often, I find myself stopping at the nearest Walmart or Meijer that is open at 6am on my way to school that carries the supply that I need for a special game or activity I decide to do for the day while laying in bed the night before or taking a shower that morning.
However, what I have been realizing is that I could save a LOT of money if I picked up some of the supplies I needed at second-hand stores.
The light bulb went off when I went to “Play it Again Sports” with my kids and saw an enormous amount of golf balls and golf tees. Now, golfing was not the first thing that popped into my head but, “Holy cow! Look at those cheap golf balls! Why did I buy brand new ones last year for my room?”
It saddened me to even think how much money I was out and then I turned and saw a TON of golf tees which had never crossed my mind before to look for at a second-hand shop – especially a sports shop.
